Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

Thunderbird is growing up and I am very excited about it!! According to a recent press release by Mozilla:

Mozilla Messaging, the new mail focused subsidiary of the non-profit Mozilla Foundation, today announced that it has begun operations.

The initial focus for Mozilla Messaging is the development of Thunderbird 3, which will deliver significant improvements, notably integrated calendaring, better search and enhancements to the overall user experience. Thunderbird is a free, open source email application that is used by millions of people around the world and is built using the same open source development model as the award-winning Mozilla Firefox Web browser.

For anyone who wants the BEST, FREE email program on the web…you have to check out Mozilla Thunderbird. I’ve been using it for years now and have loved every minute of it. It’s fast, easy, secure and has the ability to add extra extensions to personalize your email program.

FYI - Thunderbird is created by Mozilla, the same people who bring us my favorite web browser, Firefox.

In the meantime, I will be waiting anxiously for Thunderbird 3!! Screenshot of the new website for Mozilla Messaging below.
