Why pay for cable when you can watch TV online for free?
Saturday, April 5th, 2008That’s what my friends and I have all been saying to anyone who will listen, ever since we found out that we could watch all our favorite cable tv shows online for free!
If you are online as much as I am, you have probably found yourself watching less and less TV. Every month as I pay my bills, I wonder why I need to pay $75/month for something that I just don’t use as much anymore. With that question in mind, I set out on my quest to find out what TV shows were online and if I needed to keep my cable service.
I have to admit, in the beginning of my search, it was pretty tough finding online TV show websites that I liked and seemed legitimate. I wasn’t looking for bit torrent sites…those sites where people upload shows they’ve taped and other users of the sites download them. I never did like the idea of file sharing with someone I didn’t know…the thought of all the viruses, spyware, etc. they could load into their files. The same feeling applies with bit torrent sites for me, so I normally stay clear of them to be safe.
What I was really wanting was to be able to watch online, when I want at any time I wanted. Then, my friend Lynetta, started blitzing me with emails. She did it. She found the stations and the best websites to watch online. She sent them over to me every time she found a new site. And so my cable bill started to look more and more wasteful, knowing what I found I could watch online….for free.
