Flaws in Adobe Reader and Acrobat are being used to exploit computers; company urges customers to install the patch.

Adobe’s Reader and Acrobat are designed to regularly look for updates, but users are advised to upgrade to the patched version, 8.1.2.

This is very important news.  Many times when I visit my clients, I am very surprised at how many alerts show up on their desktops to update their virus scanners, spyware or other software programs.  When I mention it to my clients, they say “Oh, I don’t need that.”  After another 20 minutes of me lecturing them on why they need the updates, they finally understand this is not meant to be an inconvenience, but rather a courtesy by the software makers.

Visit Adobe’s website and upgrade your computer now.
